Local information
The Marais Poitevin (often called Green Venice),Vallee de Singes (Ape Park) and Futurescope are probably the most popular tourist attractions close by.
Further away but definitely worth planning in, is the Puy de Fou attraction park. Suitable for all ages, this Park brings history to life in such an impressive, exciting and entertaining way – and attracts people from all over Europe.
For those who enjoy a day by the sea, La Rochelle and Il de Ré are really worth a visit and just over an hour away.
There is also a recreational lake nearby where, surrounded by a beautiful wood, you can swim, have a picnic, go kayaking, play volleyball or clamber through the trees in their outdoor adventure park.
There are also a number of zoo's and nature parks in the area.
For those of you who enjoy a glass of wine (or more!), we have white wine to the north of us, and red wine to the south. The historic town of Cognac is also just an hour away.
